SALTY WATERMELON SALAD

METHOD:

Roughly chop the fresh basil leaves and combine with sheep cheese.Add a pinch of multicolored ground pepper. Let the mixture cool in a closed container.

Cut the red onion into rings and scoop out the watermelon flesh using a spoon or a fruit cutter, or cut it into small cubes.

Mix cooled watermelon with onion in a salad bowl, sprinkle with lemon juice, lightly salt and serve in cocktail glasses or directly in an empty watermelon shell.

Using the same cutter, scoop out the cheese-basil balls, place them on top of the salad, season and drizzle with olive oil before serving.

TRY THIS: The easily digestible and refreshing pleasure, especially during hot summer days, will convince you that almost daily consumption of watermelon can also have tasty salty versions. Do not forget to thoroughly cool all the ingredients. Bryndza-cheese can also be replaced by feta or Balkan cheese.
